September 1st, 2008 - A promising weekend, in their respective championships, for four new football teams sponsored by Diadora: Atletico Osasuna, Standard Liegi, FC Twente and Roda Jc.
After the 2-1 victory over UEFA cup entrants Racing Santander, on the first match of the Spanish season Atletico Osasuna achieved a good draw with Villarreal, one of the best teams in next Champions League.
In Belgium, Standard Liegi ended the third match of the 2008/09 Jupiler League with a 1-1 tie against Roeselare.
Then, Roda JC and FC Twente, two new Diadora teams in the Dutch Eredivisie, the highest football league in the Netherlands, performed particularly well in the first Diadora derby of the 2008/09 season. They played against each other and tied 1-1.
