Diadora At Pitti Uomo

The Diadora spring/summer 2012 collections are given a new look at Pitti Uomo

Crossovers of fabrics and materials for men’s sneakers and the launch of the new Women’s Shoe Collection.
Crossover will be the buzzword for the new Heritage Men and Women’s collections that Diadora Sport will be bringing to the 80th edition of Pitti Uomo.
Come to Palazzo Pitti, Cavaniglia hall, stand A/18 from 14 to 17 June and discover Diadora’s latest arrivals, where materials and stonewash treatments borrowed from the clothing and sailing sectors will come together in these models of sneaker. A mood that will accompany models made from luxurious materials with attention to detail casting a new light on our famed collections.
The new Heritage SS2012 models won’t be the only newcomers at the event... Diadora will be bringing its new Women’s collection to Pitti Uomo, where sporty models are given a sophisticated feminine twist thanks to the use of new specially designed shapes, lines, materials and colours.

The Heritage range will be expanded by three new lines:

High-quality new materials and inspiration taken from the world of sailing will bring back the historic Equipe in the shape of Equipe Ventile: resistant, waterproof, breathable and comfortable thanks to the use of Ventile cotton.
The My Basket 84 Luxury Leather, based on the mythical My Basket model of F/W2011 and the B. Elite Luxury Leather inspired by the historic B. Elite model used by Bjorn Borg in 1981 acquire a luxurious allure thanks to the use of fine suede, creating the perfect shoe melding elegance, sophistication, luxury and comfort.

Heritage Classic
Stonewash treatments give an irresistible vintage look to the Equipe SW models with a striped lining evoking men’s shirts and Diadora engraved in the top eyelet; the Equipe Dirty, made from canvas and suede, and deliberately “dirtied” to create a vintage look; the Equipe M with the winter Equipe Mountain upper in vintage-look Ripstop cotton; the edgy Equipe Easy to Wear with raw canvas uppers, raw cut, slip on with elastic laces; The Queen C SW in stonewashed canvas, suede and removable leather insole.
The 80s are back with the Trident model inspired by the shoes worn by the McLaren team. Made from the same high-quality nylon as down-filled jackets, the stonewashed Tridents have ultra-light micropadding, and “deformed” sole and midsole for a destructured vintage look.
Evoking the classic Equipe shoe, in the midst of all these new products, is Equipe Stripe SW. A truly unique piece, not only thanks to details like the leather lining and insole and the Diadora-customized top metal eyelet, but also to the high quality shirt fabric given a stonewash treatment for a highly fashionable destructured look.

Women’s collection
Diadora’s constant innovation and research also sart in this Women’s collection of sporty sneakers given a feminine twist with a careful eye to shapes, cuts, colours and materials. Like the ultra-feminine sophisticated combination of satin and suede in the low-cut Equipe Raso; or the stonewashed canvas and suede of the new Equipe Canvas SW, with raised leather insole; or the version using the same materials with a wedge heel for Equipe HH. Satin with patent-leather inserts distinguish the reinterpretation of the 70s “Track and Field” ballerina flat shoe, Los Angeles Raso, launching the packable concept for a shoe lightweight and flexible enough to be easily folded and transported. Completing the women’s collection is Los Angeles NYL, stretch nylon and leather, also packable.
