The story behind
The Montecarlo, which dates to 1977, became one of the favorite sneakers of many Diadora tennis players thanks to the vulcanized sole. Common in the U.S. and England where it originated, this type of sport shoe construction arrived in Italy in the late 19th century.
The evolution of the industrial process has encompassed a major delocalization of production to Asia. Only a few factories are still operating in Italy. Diadora is among the latter, so making the most of the value of fine craftsmanship that has always been for it a mark of distinction.
