With Velocità Carbon, Diadora is returning to track & field. And it’s bringing the most innovative materials currently available with it.
This track shoe was designed for 100 to 400-metre races, with or without obstacles.
The core of this model is the Anima PBX – Pebax SCF foam midsole that is able to provide 80% energy return, among the highest recorded on the market according to in-house tests. Above the midsole, we have a carbon fibre plate embedded in thermosetting resin that extends along the entire length of the shoe, reinforcing the sole so that the energy discharged to the ground by athletes is not dispersed.
The glass-fibre reinforced polyamide tread has been designed to work with the midsole and plate and optimises the ground reaction time.
The upper is made from Matryx: ultra-light and resistant, this material can be customised with a differentiated weave. A yarn that replaces the lining has been inserted into the latter. Where more breathability was required, the fibres were spaced out. Lastly, to ensure an outstanding fit, continuous and inextensible carbon fibres have been added to the medial area.
The nylon sole features interchangeable 6-mm studs.
